Laser Cutting and Engraving Services,
and DIY Rental in Atlanta, Georgia

We have two C02 Laser cutter and engraver, and one Fiber Laser for engraving metal that are available to rent by the hour.  You show up with your material and design (Picture, Vector Graphic, or 2D CAD Drawing), and we will do the work for you. Available in Atlanta, GA.

If you have small or large quantities of parts to make, and don't want to sit around and wait, you can drop off, or send us the material, and we can do the work for you. Please send us a file in .eps (for engraving and cutting) or .dxf (for cutting only) format and a description to receive a quote.

Note: We do not stock material, or cut material to size.  All material must be pre cut down to 12x24 inches or smaller in order to fit into the machines.

CO2 Laserable Materials:

  5. Painted/coated metals ( vaporizes the paint away )

CO2 Non-Laserable Materials:

  1. Polycarbonate (Lexan)
  2. PVC (Poly Vinyl Chloride): Also known as vinyl, pleather, cintra or artificial leather. Most adhesive vinyl shelf paper (e.g. Con-Tact Paper) also is PVC.
  3. Vinyl
  4. Any material containing Chlorine
  5. ABS - ABS emits cyanide when cut.
  6. HDPE - melts too much
  7. PolyStyrene Foam - catches fire
  8. Teflon
  9. Glass cannot be cut (glass can be engraved, but for best results we recommend glass etching. Please contact Alison at Spineless Studios for your glass etching needs in Atlanta area.)
  10. Fiberglass
  11. Printed circuit board (FR4 and other material types)
  12. Carbon Fiber
  13. Anything with Epoxy resin
  14. Bare Metals, other than Anodized Aluminum (which is not really bare...)

Cost:


CO2 laser - $60 per hour is the base price for cutting and engraving. This includes someone to run the machine for you. There is a 2 hour minimum per visit.
 
Fiber Galvo Laser (for engraving, marking, and etching bare and coated metals) - Please contact us with your project for a quote on engraving metals. 
 
We can also laser your parts for you, on a per part cost basis. This is fast, and economical if you have asmall to large number of parts that you need to make. Please let us know what your needs are and send us files to receive a quotation.
 

Why Rent Time?

Laser engravers and cutters are expensive, large, and maintenance intensive. These machines are used by us for our engineering, and product manufacturing work, but since there is a lot of time when they are not being used, you can rent that time at a much cheaper cost then outsourcing the work to laser shops. The turn around time is also much faster, because you can have your parts engraved or cut in the same day.

  1. Atlanta, GA.  The laser shop is located in Scottdale, GA, which is inside the perimeter.  It's very close to Avondale Estates and Decatur.
